Delete Your Account

This page applies to the DevPulse Android app (app.devpulse.mobile) and the DevPulse website.

Delete it yourself, in seconds

Open Settings → Delete account in the app or on the web, type DELETE to confirm, and everything below is removed immediately. You do not need to contact us and nothing is queued for review. *Cancel a paid subscription first.* We attempt to cancel a subscription taken out on the web, but the deletion goes ahead even if that attempt fails; a Google Play subscription is held by Google and is never cancelled by deleting the account — cancel it in the Play Store under Payments and subscriptions, which still works afterwards. Write to support@aver-web.se if any charge is taken after you have deleted, and we will refund it.

Or delete it from here, without installing anything

Enter the address on the account. We email you a link, you confirm on the page it opens, and the deletion happens immediately — the same cascade as the in-app button, no ticket and no waiting.

Holding that mailbox is the only proof of ownership this path has, which is why the link goes there and nowhere else. It expires in an hour, and receiving it does nothing on its own: if a stranger types your address into this form, the mail that arrives is a question, not an action.

If the address on the account no longer reaches you, write to support@aver-web.se and we will establish that the account is yours before deleting anything. That route is manual and bounded by the 30 days the GDPR allows (Art. 12(3)); the form above is not.

What is deleted

All of it, permanently. There is no recovery period and no archived copy.

  • Account: Your login, email address, display name and avatar.
  • GitHub analysis: Cached repository metadata, languages, contribution history, pull requests and issues.
  • Skill data: Skill profiles, proficiency levels and every monthly snapshot.
  • Quiz history: Sessions, answers, scores and any question votes you cast.
  • Portfolio: Your portfolio, its content, theme and public URL.
  • Teams: Your team memberships. Teams you own are dissolved, along with their memberships and pending invitations.
  • Job matches: Every match generated for you.
  • Billing history: Subscription records held by DevPulse.

What is not deleted, and why

  • Payment records held by Stripe and Google Play: They keep transaction records to meet accounting and tax law. DevPulse cannot delete them; contact those providers directly.
  • Anonymous benchmark averages: Peer comparisons are aggregates over a minimum of five people and contain no identifier that points back to you. Your figures stop contributing once your profile is gone.
  • Error reports: Crash diagnostics are retained for 90 days and then removed automatically.

Your GitHub connection

Deleting your account removes the stored GitHub access token. To revoke DevPulse’s access at GitHub as well, visit GitHub → Settings → Applications.
